The Best Vacuum in the World is a pretty strong statement. But I mean it! And I feel like I come from a position where I can actually claim that! I am asked almost weekly what type of vacuum that I recommend and I definitely have a favorite.
For years, I would clean people’s homes as my job while I was in college. And I even clean occasionally now. I have probably tried around 30 or so vacuums throughout the years, so I feel like I have a lot of experience in what features work well and what ones don’t.

About 5 years ago, I needed a new vacuum – again. I felt like my vacuums kept dying and I was so tired of buying new ones! That’s when my cousin recommended the Shark Professional Vacuum to me. She has experience in cleaning homes as well so I felt like she had a good perspective with her recommendation. I took a leap of faith and bought the Shark. No joke people, I filled up the entire dirt up with one vacuum around the house. ONE! I was literally shocked! I felt like I was pretty great a keeping our house tidy and clean but boy was I wrong! As I vacuumed the next time I was sure there wouldn’t be near as much. To my surprise, the dirt cup filled up again! I was literally giddy! I was so grossed out at just how disgusting my house was (without me even knowing it) but also happy that I had found the solution to correct a problem I didn’t know I had.

So here I am, 5+ years later, and I still have the same vacuum. It works like a champ and the suction is still just as strong as it was on day #1. I am just as shocked as you. Now I know that some people love their Dyson. And I hate to bag on Dyson, but everyone that I know that owns one – it breaks all of the time. One lady I know has had to replace her Dyson 5 times!
I truly try to stay away from superlatives when I am recommending something to someone because I hate it when I am disappointed in a product that others recommend to me promising the world with that product, only to be disappointed. But truly, I can’t recommend this vacuum enough. I have many different people who have purchased this vacuum at my recommendation and they absolutely love it! So there you have it…I am one of those weird people who get passionate about a vacuum cleaner! If you are in the market for a new one, at least read the rave reviews from nearly 10,000 reviewers on Amazon.

My 3 Tips on Vacuuming
#1 Vacuum in rows. There is something wonderful about a freshly vacuumed room where there are absolutely no footprints and the carpet looks completely brand new because of the simple method of vacuuming in rows.
#2 Use Essential Oils. Put a few drops of Essential Oils on a Cotton Ball and throw it in your dirt cup to make your house smell incredible as you vacuum. My favorite scents are the Citrus ones so that my house smells fresh and clean.
#3 Vacuum at Night. This one can be difficult to accomplish, but I find it extremely satisfying to wake up to freshly vacuumed carpet in the morning. I have kids so keeping carpets nicely vacuumed last about .25 seconds. If I vacuum at night before they go to bed, it stays looking nice for hours and I wake up to a clean home that sets my day off on the right foot.
#4 Vacuum when Company is Coming. If you find out last minute that you have guests that will be arriving shortly to your house, one of the very best (and quickest) things you can do is Vacuum! It makes a big impact for very little effort.
